Life began for Herman Williams Jr. on September 27,1954 in Memphis, TN. He born the son of the late Herman Williams Sr. and the late Bernice Rixter Davis.

On March 11 2024 Herman passed away at his place of residence at the age of 69.

He received his Diploma in 1970 while residing in Chicago, IL with his father Herman Williams Sr, and his Aunt Alice Turner.  Herman was a dedicated employee and he embarked on a successful career in retail and banking security for over 20 years.

Herman lived a loving and fulfilled life. He was joyful and helpful to everyone.  Despite his ailments.  Even when he wasn't feeling well he would ask if there was anything he could help you with. 

Herman enjoyed many things including attending church and spending time with his family & friends.  He enjoyed watching his favorite shows which were Sandford and Son, Columbo, The Beverly Hill Billies,  The Jeffersons and Good Times.  Herman enjoyed playing chess and he rarely lost a game.  He also enjoyed keeping his mind sharp doing crossword puzzles. Everyone knows his infamous catch phrase "Sho ya right!"

His legacy will be cherished by his three children:  His Son Curtis Williams of Madison WI,  his daughters Angela Williams of Madison WI, and Letitia Alia Briscoe of Philadelphia PA. Six grandchildren:  Carter Williams, Shanae Johnson, Shauna Johnson, Chris Johnson, Bryanna Belvin & (Deceased) William Moore. Four great grand children:  Justice Jones, Martel Jones, Messiah Johnson,  and Nehemiah Johnson.  Sisters: Lucille Davis of Philadelphia PA, Marth Ann Dailey (Alvin) of Connecticut, and Virginia Davis of Virginia. Brothers: Kevin Anthony Williams of  Cedar Rapids, IA,  Charles Davis of Connecticut (Irene), and Jimmy Davis of Virginia (Lottie).  Herman had a special relationship with his nieces' Demetra Davis, Chrishyria Cannon  and his nephew Tyler Davis whom each helped care for him in his times of need. There are cousins that held a special place in Herman's heart. They are Charelle Green, John Combs, Willie (Lilbit) Johnson, and Curtis Johnson.

There's also a host of additional nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents Herman was predeceased by one sister: Vernice Davis and three brothers: Weldon Davis Jr., Kenneth Rembert, and Jeffrey Rembert.
