Bradley Reed Williams Jr., was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 4, 1947
to Bradley R. Williams Sr. and Ethel Knight both preceded him in death. Butch,
lovingly referred to by friends and family, was the eldest of three siblings, Denise Bird,
Denny Williams, and Forrest Williams. After graduating from Murrell Dobbins high
school, Brad joined the United States Air Force. Brad rose quickly in rank. His
honorable military career included active service in the United States Army, US Army
Reserves and the National Guard. While serving in the US Army, Brad fought in the
Vietnam War. He later attended La Salle University, where he received a Bachelors of
Social Work. Brad went on to build a career as a social worker in the Department of
Human Services for the City of Philadelphia. Brad married Beverly Miles of
Philadelphia, Pa, Beverly preceded him in death. From this union, they have two
daughters, Brenee Greene and Brooke Williams. He later captured the heart of
Yvonne Sims. From this courtship blossomed his youngest daughter Brandi Williams
Reeder. Brad loved to fish. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren fishing at the Jersey
shore. He also enjoyed watching sports. He loved talking smack with his friends
about his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Brad spent the last 20 years of his retirement
spending time with his grandchildren. He attended school trips, football games,
basketball games, school dances, report card conferences, and graduations. He leaves
behind his loving and devoted daughters, Brenee, Brooke, and Brandi, a sister, Denise,
brothers Denny and Forrest, sister-in-law, Camille, daughter-in-laws Elle and Tee, his
three devoted grandchildren Ashley, Andre, and Maiya, godson Noah, a host of nieces,
nephews, and close friends.
